Sheldon Nearing, 68, of Penticton, B.C., died on July 23, 2009.
He was the son of the late Philip and Jenny Nearing of Glace Bay.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Olive Murrant.
Surviving are his children, Philip and Michelle; four grandchildren, all of McKenzie, B.C.; brothers, Philip, Russell, Patrick; sisters, Ethel, Charlotte, Laura, Marion, Sheila, Sharon and Viola.
He will be sadly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
