James Arthur Parsons
July 14, 1927 – March 28, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Arthur Parsons announces his passing on Monday, March 28, 2011. He passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 83. Born in McCallum, James was the son of the late Albert and Esther Parsons. He was also predeceased by his brother Bob and sister Kate Crewe. He leaves to mourn with fond memories his loving family : wife Bessie; children Sam (Linda) Crestor, BC, Emily (Kenny) Gaudet, Black Duck Siding, NL, Banfield (Sharon), New Ross, NS, Frank (Nerissa), Fort McMurray, AB, Aubrey (Margaret), St. John’s, NL, and Wanda (Kenny), Port aux Basques, NL, 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brothers Banfield (Patsy), Antigonish, NS, sisters Dorothy Lyons, Lower Sackville, NS and Chestley (Patricia), Port Bickerton, NS; sisters Dorothy Lyons, Lower Sackville, NS and Sarah (Horace) Walsh, Pool’s Cove, NL; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends visited Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port aux Basques on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 30 at 2 p.m. from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rev.
