Carl John Savery
Age 76
October 16, 1934 – March 31, 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Carl Savery announces his passing at his home on March 31, age 76 years. He was predeceased by brothers Frank and Gordon, Sister Jean Brake. He leaves to mourn, with fond and loving memories, his loving wife Mabel of 51 years. Two daughters Carolann (Frank) Short, Lena (Lou Lomond). Two sons Terry (Geraldine Bird), Michael (Shirley) Brothers-in-law Ernest (Jane) Chant, Clyde (Daphne) Chant, Burnt Islands. Sisters-in-law, Alice (Fred) Francis, Burnt Islands, Elizabeth (Cecil Taylor) Ethel Savery, Port aux Basques. He also leaves to mourn seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews. Visitation took place on April 2 and April 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 at Fillatre’s Funeral Home. Funeral service took place on April 4 at St. James Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks with interment at Barachois Hill Cemetery.
