The death of Ernest Daniel “Danny” Barker, loving husband of Joanne (Murtagh) Barker, of Upper Golden Grove, occurred on Thursday April 7, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1954 in Saint John he was the son of Ernest and Dolores (Sparks) Barker. Danny worked for the Carpenters Union for many years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and renovating. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Besides his parents and loving wife Joanne of 33 years, he is survived by his daughters Denise Trail (James), Lisa Vincent (Steve Falder), Danni Lynn Barker and Darcie Bennett (Chris); cherished grandchildren Baylee, Sydnee, Shaylee, Thornton, Emileigh, Grayce and Kayson; three brothers; several cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother David Barker.
By Danny’s request there will be no visitations or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John (646-2424).
