Wadden, Esther Jean, 82, Bible Hill, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, Born in Glace Bay, NS, she was a daughter of the late Allister and Florence (Tracey) MacLeod. Esther formerly worked for Snook’s Save Easy, Truro and later with the Atlantic Super Store.
She is survived by daughters, Jean Lévesque of Whitehorse, Sandra Wadden of Orillia, ON, Paula Wadden (Glen Willis) of Cole Harbour, Pamela Wadden of Truro; grandchildren Daphni, Katrina (Jim), Nick, George; great-grandchildren Kasandra Sky, Maddox Lynch; great-great grandson Deklyn Ray; Brother William MacLeod of Barrie On; sister Shirley Shortliffe of Truro.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony “Tony” Wadden; granddaughter Sonja; brothers John, Allie in infancy; sisters Polly, Ethel, Shirley in infancy.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where visitation will take on Tuesday, June 6th from 1 pm until funeral service time at 2 pm. Father Dariusz Miskowicz will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
