GADBOIS, Edward - Mr. Edward Howard Gadbois, passed away surrounded by his family at the Ottawa Hospital - General Campus on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, age of 84 years. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Viola (née Dewe); children Linda (Glen Runions), Allan (Cathy), Perry (Diane), Mark (Wendy) and Cathy (Blain McMath); grandchildren Derek, Christina, Neal, Daniel and Ashley and his little buddy "Sam." Predeceased by his grandchildren Tracey and Cory; daughter-in-law Jane, his parents Frank and Julia (Kirkey), his five brothers and three sisters. Ed's passions included hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking, photography and spending time with his family. A special thank you to nurses Tia, Jen and Liz for the compassionate care given to our husband and father. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Monday from 9-10:30 AM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 321 Tollgate Road, Cornwall on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal at a later date in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care) or the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
