Mary Patricia Day of Moose Jaw Sask. passed away on Thursday June 29, 2017 at the age of 90 after a brief illness. Molly was born to James and Kathleen Dillon in Morley, Leeds England on June 14, 1927. She came to Canada as a war bride in 1946 after marrying Royston Day of Moose Jaw in July of 1945 in England. Mom had a sharp wit and zest for life as she raised her family and made many friends during life’s journey. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed forever more. Mom was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1984, a son Brian Day in 2015, and by her parents and 4 brothers and 4 sisters in England. She is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Lindsay) Clark of Moose Jaw, son Terry (Wendy) Day of Stettler, Alberta, son Barry (Deborah) Day of Moose Jaw, daughter-in-law Kathy Day of Drayton Valley, Alberta as well as 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and England. At mom’s request there will be no funeral service. A private family graveside celebration will be held at Rosedale Cemetery on August 25, 2017. Flowers and gifts gratefully declined.
