It is with great sadness we, the family of Margie MacDonald, announce her passing on July 5, 2017 at Maple Hill Manor in New Waterford.
Margie was born November 2, 1936 in Glace Bay, NS, to the late George and Katie (Robertson) MacDonald.
Margie was a member of Knox United Church. She worked 32 years at the Medical Hall Pharmasave. Margie belonged to Friends of the Manor (Seaview Manor) and the Rebecca Lodge, Glace Bay. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Margie will be remembered for her kind and caring ways. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
Margie is survived by a sister, Myrna MacSween (Sydney); sister-in-law, Helen MacDonald (Glace Bay) and special nieces, Karen and Sonya and special nephews, Keith, Kirk and Craig. She was predeceased by brothers, Allie and Earl and a brother-in-law, Michael MacSween.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Maple Hill Manor, your kindness and compassion shown towards Margie will never be forgotten.
As per Margie’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
There will be a graveside service for the family at a future date.
