The death occurred at Beach Grove Home on Sunday, July 9, 2017 of Freda M. Smith of Mount Stewart, age 94 years. Wife of the late Oliver Smith. Beloved mother of Lynne (Paul) MacAdam and Olivia Fisher. Nanny to Christopher (Andrea), Jonathan (Michele), Diane, Stephen (Jessica), James, Shaunacea (Matthew), Nigel (Abbey) and Kaelin. Great-grandmother of Keely, Mia, Abby (Mother Melanie), Brooke, Ellie, Phoebe, Reid, Skyler, Vanessa, Oliver and Aleric. Sister of Stella Saunders. Also survived by sisters-in-law Shirley Affleck and Eleanor Smith and brother-in-law Goldie Smith. Predeceased by son-in-law Wayne Fisher; sisters Violet Jay, Gladys Glover, Marjorie Court, Lottie Affleck and Jean VanCamp; brothers Harold, Leith, Edson and Bruce Affleck; sister-in-law Doris Walker and brother-in-law Lorne Smith. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Thursday from St. John’s United Church, Mount Stewart at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the Peoples Cemetery, Mount Stewart.
