It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gloria Gracie, 63, on Monday, July 17, 2017, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in North Sydney on October 22, 1953, she was the daughter of the late David and Ada (Haggett) Canavan.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; son, Wayne Jr. (Eileen), and three wonderful grandchildren, Victoria, Ethan and Marcus. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Marge (Dan) Lethbridge and Marilyn (the late Gary Dales), both of London, ON, Marie (the late Ted Washburn), Windsor, ON, Colleen (Alex) Barry, Little Pond, and brother, Kenneth Canavan, North Sydney.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Douglas Canavan.
Gloria’s family will receive visitors Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. in J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. A memorial service will take place at 11:30 in the funeral home. The burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
