WILSON HARDY DALLEY - June 30, 1935 to July 20, 2017
Wilson ‘Hardy’ Dalley, 82, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Cornwall Community Hospital. He leaves his precious wife of 61 years, Claudette (nee Larin) Dalley, his children Allan (Linda) Bryan (Nadene), Rick (Ginnette), Tammy (Paul), Bob (Marion), beloved grandchildren Matthew, Chantal, Keesha, Shannon (Alex), Joshua, Cody (Sonya), Michael (Sarah), Brandon, Paige, Sam, Brock, great grandchild Gavin. Brother Harold (Betty), Junior (Marilyn), sister Marie, sister-in-law Patsy, nieces and nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his parents James and Edna (nee King) Dalley, brother Thomas and sisters Melinda (Wendell) Coughlar and Rennie. Born and raised in Twillingate, Newfoundland, Wilson left ‘the Rock’ and moved to Cornwall at the age of 15. He started his career in the newspaper business working at Moffitt Printing and the Prescott Journal. At the age of 40 Wilson began a successful career working for Prudential as an insurance advisor and became one of the top sales agents in Canada. Wilson met his beloved Claudette in 1952 and they were married in Cornwall in 1955. Visiting Twillingate, Newfoundland was among Hardy’s favourite memories along with sharing stories of his childhood years with his kids and grandchildren. He loved music and loved playing both guitar and harmonica with his family. A private service will be held at the McArthur Bros. & MacNeil Funeral Home & Chapel (613 932-6300) for Wilson on Wednesday, July 26th.
