Cox, Curtis Leon – Fergus, Ontario

Cox, Curtis Leon – Age 47, of Fergus, Ont., passed away on July 25, 2017, surrounded by family and friends from near and far, at his cottage on College Lake, N.S. This was his favourite place to be as he shared many great times with family and friends. He returned to College Lake faithfully each summer where he enjoyed fishing and often could be found watching the loons and other wildlife. Curtis was born in Scarborough, Ont., and later moved with his family to Upper Stewiacke where he grew up and had many adventures. He later moved to Ontario, where he started a family and began a long, successful career in car manufacturing, most recently with Chrysler Canada. Curtis was the most kind-hearted person in the world, with a smile that would light up a room. He was very special to many people.

He is sadly missed by his wife, Rebecca Muller; his children, Leon Cox, Codie and Cory Toomer; his mother, Joyce (Miller) Cox; sister, Brenda Weatherbee (Darrell); nieces, Julie and Amy; nephew, Joey; paternal grandmother, Nellie (Brown) Cox. He was predeceased by his father, Leon Gaston Cox; maternal grandparents, John and Enid (Henley) Miller; paternal grandfather, Leon A.W. Cox. He will be missed by his four-legged companion, Taz.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. Curtis has requested that a celebration of life be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, at his cottage on College Lake. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
