EMBERLEY, Carlson Garfield – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carlson Garfield Emberley on July 24, 2017, at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre in St. John’s, NL, at the age of 75 years. Leaving to miss him dearly, his loving wife of 56 years, Ann; sons: Brian (Ottawa, ON), Duane (Heather)(Brampton, ON); daughters: Michelle (Perry) Stone (Creston, NL), Dawn Emberley (Paul)(St. John’s, NL); four grandchildren: Zachary (girlfriend, Tara), Taylor (boyfriend, Eric) & Sarah (Creston, NL) and Emillie Ann & Kyle and great-grandson, Cameron (Brampton, ON); brothers: George (Judy)(Mount Pearl, NL), Gary (Ernie)(Grand Bank, NL), Randy (Bernie)(Calgary, AB), Roger (Linda)(St. Catherine’s, ON), Rodney (Sue)(Innisfil, ON), Bill (Sharon)(Dartmouth, NS); sisters: Joyce (Herman) Holloway (Whitecourt, AB), Jane (Levi) Matthews (Grand Bank, NL), Pamela (Lowell) Bonnell (St. John’s, NL), Helen (Roy) Miller (Mount Pearl, NL), Ruth (Carl) Bond (Beaverbank, NS), Lorraine (Jim) Francis (Bay Roberts, NL), Miriam (Jim) Hornell (Brantford, ON); half-sister, Phyllis (Dave) Squires (Mississauga, ON); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and through his work and his unique personality, his large circle of friends, each whom will miss him dearly. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, July 26, and Thursday, July 27, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Service took place from St. James United Church on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 2:00pm, with cremation to follow.
