Mary Bisson passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Glace Bay Hospital with her family at her side. She was a daughter of the late Jack and Bessie MacLeod.
Mom lived 91 and 7/8 years (born September 10, 1925), loved to dance right up to 88 years-of-age, and celebrated her 90th birthday at Branch 3 Legion.
She is survived by son, Barry and his wife, Lynda, and their girls, Michelle (Mike) Fowler and Nicole, both of Calgary; daughter, Wendy and her husband, Donnie Currie, and their son, Donnie Jr. (Tina Vineham), Ont.; three great grandchildren, Leora, Courtney and Nakita Currie; sister, Jean (Mike Curry), and sisters-in-law, Sadie MacLeod (Roy-deceased), Rosie (Bisson) MacMullin and Joan Bisson (Lubin-deceased).
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred; sister, Arabelle; brothers, Laird, Roy and Donald ‘Hopper’.

Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends tomorrow (Tuesday) from 1 p.m. until time of catholic funeral service scheduled for 2 p.m. in Currys Funeral Home Chapel, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. Lunch to follow service. Interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery.
