VIRGINIA 'DALE' MOMBOURQUETTE

Virginia "Dale" Mombourquette, has reunited with her son and parents on August 21, 2017, surrounded by love. She left earth with such bravery and strength after a ten year battle with Parkinson's disease.
Dale was born in Whitney Pier on April 19, 1950, to John and Mildred (MacLeod) Apblett.
She was employed with the CBRH as a phlebotomist until her retirement in 1995. Dale was known as the gentle "vampire" and was requested by many patients to take their blood.
Dale leaves behind her loving caregiver and husband of 47 years, Leo; supportive daughter, Wendy (Dave Martell); sisters, Suzanne (Albert) Hussey, Judy (George) Carew; brothers, Johnny and Ronnie; her precious grandchildren, Baylee, Lance, Addie, and Maryn; many nieces, nephews and friends especially; the Siepierski girls, June Axworthy, and Donna Mullins.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Louis and Jean Mombourquette, and her handsome son, Kirt.
At mom's request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Church on Friday, August 25 at 11 a.m., with Archdeacon Brenda Drake officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada or Palliative Care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
