Frank Emanuel – 73, Truro, died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre surrounded by family. Frank died after an unexpected and mercifully short battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Frank and Isabella (Simmons) Emanuel. Frank is survived by beloved wife Carolyn and his children Frank (Sharon), Leah Charter (James), and Brian (Lauren). He is also survived by his grandchildren Alexandra (Chris), Jacob, Nicholas, Elyssa, Chelsea, Jenna, Isabella, and Cameron, in whom he took the greatest joy. Brothers James (Margaret), Lee (Janet) Emanuel, several nieces and nephews. Frank was an active member of his community, involved in many charitable efforts through clowning for Shriners and BBQing at fundraisers. Frank was a much loved member of First United Church serving in many ways over the years. He was also an avid tennis and table tennis player. Frank was a past Master of the Masonic Lodge Truro #43. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Masonic Tribute will be held at 1pm with Memorial Service at 2pm, Wednesday, August 30th both in First United Church, 711 Prince St., Truro, Rev. Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Reception will follow in Memorial Hall. If so desired, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
