It is with broken hearts that we, the family, regret to announce the passing of our dear father, William ‘Bill’ Tremblett at the Northside General Hospital on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the age of 87.
Dad loved life to the fullest with his soulmate, our mom, for 66 years. You would always find our parents at the mall for their daily walk and chatting with everyone they knew, especially the ladies in Walmart who would always have a hug for them. They enjoyed Tim’s for the coffee and going down to Indian Beach for the music in the evenings.
Dad is survived by his love and soulmate, our mom, Ester (nee Butts); sons, Ernie, Billy (Judy), Freddy (Sherry) and Kevin; daughters, Doris (Blair) and Brenda (John); daughter-in-law, Michelle, as well as numerous grandchildren (including Cory who resided with them), and great grandchildren. Dad also leaves his brothers, Eric (Cyrilla) and Percy, and sisters, Marie Marsh (Cyril) and Helen Crane.
Bill is predeceased by his parents, John (1948) and Gertrude (1980). The losses of his beloved son, Terry; grandson, Jason Jessome, and daughter, Barbara Ann, broke his heart. He is also predeceased by his brothers, Gordon, Wallace, Wilfred, Earl, Douglas, David and John, and sisters, Ella Gear and Margaret Yorke and Edna Tremblett.
Visitation will take place at Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, 8 Clyde Ave., Sydney Mines on Wednesday, September 6 from 6 until 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday also at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Phillips officiating. Interment will take place in Brookside Cemetery. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.fillmoreandwhitman.com.
