Date de décès : 7 septembre 2017
Jeanette Bentley (née MacVicar) died in Halifax on September 7th, 2017 from sudden complications from cancer, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Born in Glace Bay on March 9, 1941 to her parents, Allan and Ina MacVicar, Jeanette was a pensioner after many years of service with Bank of Montreal and a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Dartmouth. Jeanette lived for many years in Cambridge, Ontario where she was an active member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a wonderful woman and a strong and loving matriarch of our family. She was warm, generous, and kind. She loved to laugh, she was a great storyteller, she was great to tease and she'd give it right back. Predeceased by her loving husband, Ron, Jeanette will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Edna; brother, Don (Kathryn), and children, Marilyn (Phil), Suzanne, Allan (Rachel) and Paul (Lisa), as well as grandchildren and loving friends.
A service will be held on Saturday, September 16 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Dartmouth at 4 p.m.
In memory of Jeanette and in place of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
