On the day he loved best, Kelvin took his final journey home to his Heavenly Father. He follows those gone before him; wife Bernice Grant, mother and father Richard and Monnie Grant; in-laws from the Baker and Carew families, many other relatives and friends. He leaves behind with years of precious memories, his wife Jeannette (his Jenny); four loving children Kim Grant (Rick), Richard Grant (Lisa), Kelly Bruce (Cameron), David Grant (Jacqueline); Kelvin was proud to have shared in the lives of four wonderful step-children Craig Rowe (Susan), Stephen Rowe (Kelly), Bradley Rowe (Tina), Angela Rowe-Ure (Mike); his fourteen precious and much loved grandchildren Mark Rowe, Elizabeth Rowe, Kelsea Grant, Grant Baldwin, Jennifer Grant, Nicholas Bruce, Kevin Rowe, Matthew Baldwin, Lindsey Bruce, Jacob Grant, Jack Rowe-Ure, Cara Grant, Colin Grant and Maksim Rowe-Ure; his only sibling, sister Jill Grant and her family in Halifax; in-laws Muriel Carter, Marion Bainbridge, Allan Baker (Iris), Carolynn Brown (Bill), Glenys Walters (Harold), Debbie Gill (Terry), Marie Dean, Marguerite Godfrey, Ann Carew, Harry Carew; and a large number of nieces and nephews. Also, his cherished friend with whom he started kindergarten in 1941, Len Coughlan and his wife Betty; dear friends Martin and Maureen Clooney, Shirley McNeil, Vyv and Michael Bruce; his golfing buddies with whom he shared many laughs and wonderful times, Gerry Reid and his wife Cathy, Art Reid and his wife Audrey, Roger Grimes and his wife Maryann. Kelvin enjoyed good times and stimulating conversation with the "Breakfast Caucus" as he called them. He was blessed with many friends and cherished the time spent with them. Kelvin had a very kind and generous spirit and he will be missed beyond measure. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place from St. Teresa's Church on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. with cremation to follow. Memorial donations, in memory of Kelvin, may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, St. Teresa's Church, Mundy Pond.
