MacNeill, Phyllis Jane (Mulhall) - 81, of Truro died Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre after a brief illness. Born and raised in Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Elizabeth Mulhall. Predeceased by her brother F/L John (Jack); sister Ann Moffat. She raised five boys in Halifax with her husband Donald (deceased), later moving to Middle Stewiacke, and eventually Truro where she was a member of the Truro duplicate bridge club and volunteered her time freely. Phyllis went back to work later in life where she landed her dream job as a tour director for Atlantic tours. She left her mark on 12 provinces and territories, 46 states, 33 countries, and 5 continents. She is survived by sons Donnie, Jim (Cricket), John, David, Sandy; daughter (in-law) Jennifer; Phyllis (Mum, Aunt Phyl, Grammy, Mimi, Philly) is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other extended family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Truro Fire Hall, 165 Victoria Street (Corner of Victoria St. and Young St.) Saturday, September 30 from 4 – 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or your local animal shelter. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home.
