Marilyn Mae Wong, age 67 of Meadowlark Drive, New Glasgow, passed away on September 23, 2017, at home.
Born in Charlottetown, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Duncan and Nora Jay.
Marilyn has been a resident of New Glasgow the past 43 years. She was a member of Trinity United Church and a member of the CFUW, Canadian Federation of University Women.
She is survived by her husband, Parker, New Glasgow; daughter, Jaylyn (Dave) Smith, Ottawa; son, Murray (Christie) Wong, Ottawa; grandchildren, Owen and Noralyn; sister-in-law, Mary Jay, Charlottetown, PEI; and numerous cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Brendan Jay.
Although she had numerous health problems later in life her spirit never wavered. Marilyn will be dearly missed by her family, neighbours and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017, in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating. Burial will be in the Lorne St. Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
