John DESCHUYMER
May 20, 1939 – September 24, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Deschuymer. His sudden death occurred at home on Sunday, September 24, 2017. John was born in Geraldton, Ontario on May 20, 1939. He was a licensed mechanic. He taught mechanics at Barry’s Bay High School in Ontario. Many years later, John came to Prince Albert where his sister Jackie and family were living. He became a supervisor for the Catholic School Division bus lines. John was an avid hockey player in his younger days. His passion for motorcycles began early and continued to this day, enjoying traveling the provinces. John is survived by his best friend and partner Julie and her children Tricia (Gary Burke); Scott (Stacey) Telfer and grandchildren; his sister Jackie Groulx (Ron); his brothers Jim and Julien (Brigette) and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his mother and father; his brother Jerry and his sister June and mother-in-law Therese Dion. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating.
