With sadness, we announce the passing of Leslie Dancsecs on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born September 8, 1933, in Hungary, he was the son of the late Imre and Marie (Dolgos) Dancsecs.
Until retirement, Leslie worked as a supervisor for Armac Construction.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; son, Leslie (Elena); grandson, Nikita; stepdaughters, Karen (Tony) and Jennifer (Earl); stepson, Michael (Krista); step-grandchildren, Nathan, Benjamin, Kira and Gabriel; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Leslie was predeceased by his first wife, Mary (Mombourquette). The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by his sisters, Anne and Mary and brothers, Imre, Joseph, Gyula and Ferance.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 1 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert Lyle officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
