Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Carbonear Long Term Care Facility on Friday, September 29, 2017, Ambrose G. Janes of Carbonear, age 87 years. Predeceased by: daughter: Barbara; parents: George and Drucilla; sisters: Phyllis (John) Cornish and Hilda (Bert) Power; brothers: John, Clarence, David, and Leo. Left to mourn, wife of 64 years, Phyllis; two sons: Clarence (Ellen) and Jeff (Lila), both of Carbonear; son-in-law: Brian Doran, Carbonear; eleven grandchildren: thirteen great-grandchildren; brother: George (Peggy), Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Iris Janes, Truro, NS, Evelyn Janes, Carbonear, and Debbie Janes, St. John’s; also a circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Wilson Gonese conducted the Funeral Service on Monday, October 2 from Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
