Brendon James MacLean

Date de décès : 18 octobre 2017

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the death of our beloved brother, Brendon James MacLean. Brendon passed away on October 18, 2017 at Toronto General Hospital after a very short illness.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the youngest son of the late William James ‘Wick’ and Annie (Tremblat) MacLean.
Brendon was a kind and giving person and no one whether, family, friend or stranger would ever go unnoticed with a kind word. He was garrulous and always had a vivacious sense of humour and in the darkest of times could always find light and humour.
Brendon played Hockey for and was a graduate of Sydney Mines High School. He also graduated from the Navigational College in Port Hawkesbury and went on to work many years as a Navigational Officer for Canada Steamship Lines. He was in the Army Reserve, loved animals, music, swimming and hunting with his eldest brother, the late Osborne Philip MacLean. Classic cars were one of his favorite hobbies.
He leaves behind his two sisters, Donna (Charles) Petre MacLean and Sharon (John) Burke MacLean; two daughters, Logan MacLean and Jamie Pottie, and of course his beloved dogs, Aleylum and Samantha of which he cherished.
Visitation for Brendon will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 26 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., Sydney. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, October 27 at United Heritage Church, 500 Charlotte St., Sydney. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Brendon’s memory may be made to the SPCA.
We would like to thank all the MacLean family members and Brendon’s closest friends for all their support.
