van Kroonenburg, Cornelius “Kees”, 89, died peacefully at Shannex nursing home in Debert on October 26, 2017. Cornelius and his wife Mia moved from Holland in 1953 and raised four children from very humble beginnings in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Cornelius had a very successful career with Volkswagen Canada and retired 30+ years ago. He was predeceased by his loving wife Wilhelmina (Mia) and is survived by his four children Leo (Donna) Truro, Diane Evans, Calgary, Adrian(Debbie), Calgary and John (Debbie) Waverley as well as eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Kees will be buried with his wife with a family only gathering. There will not be a public service or wake as per his wishes. We wish to give thanks to the wonderful staff at Debert Court for looking after Kees for the past 10 years. We would also like to thank all the friends and family for visiting Dad over the years.
