The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Friday, November 10, 2017, of Cecily Gallant (nee LeClair), beloved wife of the late Fileas Gallant, daughter of the late Simon and Priscilla LeClair, of North Rustico, aged 96. Cecily was the devoted mother of Theresa Smith (Jim, deceased) Mary Connelly (Robert), Estelle Bourgeois (Ian Strang), Gerard (Malerie), Bernie (Michele), Francis (Carl Campbell), Charlie (Aletha), Anne Christopher (Charlie), Kent (Shirley), Wendy Gallant (Garry Gauthier), Paul (Barb Coles), Karen Gallant (Lee), Laura Larkin (Tony); much loved grandmother of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Kyle Lee Gallant; brothers, Edmund LeClair and Edward LeClair; and sister, Eileen Cassidy. Resting at Central Queens Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home prior to the visitation at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.
