Lois Schaus (nee Gillis) passed away peacefully in Toronto on November 10, 2017 after a brief illness. Born in Melville, P.E.I. on January 1, 1925, Lois was the daughter of the late John J. Gillis and Anna (Nicholson) Gillis of Melville. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Dr. Orland O. Schaus, a native of Hanover, Ontario on September 3rd, 2017, and by her brother John Wilfred Gillis in 2000. Lois is survived by her sister Joan Ferguson of Montreal; by a niece Kathy King in Texas; and by nephews Cressy Gillis and Carey Gillis of Melville, Chuck Gillis of Kilmuir, Neal Ferguson of Ottawa and Peter Ferguson of Montreal. A Service of Remembrance, followed by interment, will take place in Hanover, Ontario at a later date.
