It is with sadness that the family of the late Maxwell Chayter announce his passing on April 25, 2011 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre, Botwood, NL, aged 83. Maxwell is predeceased by infant children, David and Patsy; parents, William Robert and Susan Chayter; brothers, Thomas, and Nelson; sisters, Flossie Blake, Lucy Burt, and Esther Samsone. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Minnie; children, Mildred (Baxter) Hibbs, Calvin (Barbara), Ruby (Hedley) Thompson, Claude (Daphne), Robert, Wilbert (Connie), Janice (Charlie) Puddister, Audrey (Ision) Samson, Bernice (Stephen) Oliver; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wallace (Martha), and Reginald; sisters, Carrie Elliott and Doris Moulding; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relative and friends. Visitation took place Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL. The Funeral Service took place Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 2 pm from the Salvation Army Citadel, Peterview, NL with Majors William and Trixie Kean officiating.
