Joseph “Maurice” Donald Legare passed away peacefully on November 11, 2017 at the age of 87. Maurice was born March 17, 1930 to Oscar and Josephine Legare in Assiniboia, SK. He worked at many jobs: Bird’s Construction Moose Jaw, Canada Post, Nielsen Electrical and Tate Coal Company where he met the love of his life, Olive Nielsen whom he married April 22, 1950 and they celebrated 61 years together. They were blessed with five children: Brenda, Ricky, Bonnie, Doug and Penny. Maurice was predeceased by his wife Olive in 2011; his parents; his in-law parents; his siblings; son Ricky, daughter Brenda and great granddaughter Hope. He will be sadly missed by his children Bonnie (Tom), Doug, and Penny (Ray); eleven grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Doug (Edna) Nielsen as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private family interment has taken place at Rosedale Cemetery, Moose Jaw, SK.
