Walter Clarke

Date de décès : 19 novembre 2017

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad and Poppa, at home, on November 19, 2017.
Walter was born July 17, 1952 in Coxheath, to Reginald and Jean Clarke. He was the youngest of five siblings.
Walter met the love of his life, Debbie, in 1981 and the two were inseparable from that day forward. The love they shared became the pillar of a beautiful family that began with their five children: Kirk, Natasha, Vanessa, Amber and Tara, and continued to grow with the birth of each grandchild: Jaelyn, Aidan, Kale, Breton, Layla, Karaghen and Kylie Rae. Dad’s greatest accomplishment was our family and he would beam with pride when talking about any of us. In Dad’s words, “I was alone one day and started to think about my life and if I would ever leave a footprint behind. As my thoughts turned to you guys, I realized I already had.” Dad… Your footprint will continue to grow with our family; keep beaming!
Our Dad always loved to help; a real “Mr. Fix It”. There was no task he wouldn’t attempt. He loved to talk and was well known for his cheesy jokes and funny stories. Dad had a “sweet tooth” so to speak; he was known to have a popsicle or five. Dad loved spending time with his grandchildren and was never far from his best friend, Mom.
Walter is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; his son, Kirk (Misty); daughters, Natasha, Vanessa (Brad), Amber (Matt), Tara (Chad), and his grandchildren, Jaelyn, Aidan, Kale, Breton, Layla, Karaghen, Kylie Rae and Baby Peters. Walter is also survived by his brother, John Clarke, and many nieces and nephews.
Walter was predeceased by his mother, Jean; father, Reginald; brother, Robert; sister, Rae, and sister-in-law, Helen Clarke.
As per dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cause near and dear to Walter’s heart: the Feral and Abandoned Cat Society (FAACS).
Online condolences may be made to www.chantfuneralhome.ca.

“You held my hand
When I was small
You caught me when I fell
You’re the hero of my childhood
And my later years as well
And every time we think of you
Our hearts will fill with pride
Though we will always miss you Dad
We know you’re by our side
In laughter and in sorrow
In sunshine and through rain
We know you will watch over us
Until we meet again.”
