July 16, 1918 – November 23, 2017

RAWLINSON - The family announces that Mrs. Wilma Alice (Billie), widow of the late Frank Fraser Rawlinson of Prince Albert passed away at Mont St. Joseph Home on November 23, 2017.

She is survived by her daughter Diane (Roger) Mann, their children Robert (Elly McKenzie), Laura (Jason Bednar) and their daughter, Billie’s great granddaughter, Caia, Lyndsay; her son William (special friend Florence Prince), his children Audra (Clinton Ford) and Tylor (Lauralee); her son Patrick (Luana Caissy); as well as other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary Alice Ozmun, her three sisters Lois (Jerry) Armstrong, Claire (William) Scott and Fern (Sidney) Jones, her three brothers-in-law Edward (Georgina) Rawlinson, Cyril (Kathleen) Rawlinson, Harold (Doris) Rawlinson and numerous other family members.

Mother was born in Melfort, SK on July 16, 1918. She took all her grade schooling in Kinistino, SK going on to Business College in Yorkton, SK in 1937. She worked for the R.M. of Kinistino and the Bank of Nova Scotia. She met her future husband, Frank, while working in the R.M. office and they were married in May 1942. She resided in various places during World War II and returned to live in Prince Albert in 1947 where she has lived ever since.

She was a member of St. Alban’s Cathedral and belonged to “The Roberta E. Tilton” Women’s Auxiliary for years and later to the “Altar Guild”. She was also a member of the Cosmopals and the P.A. Ladies Curling Club for approximately 30 years. Mom loved having a flower garden, lawn bowling and spending summers at the Waskesiu cottage. She also enjoyed music, pottery making and playing bridge.

She had a deep concern for all her family, a love of nature and world travel, going to 8 different countries.

Some of the highlights she enjoyed were reunions with lifelong friends in 1981 and 1987, and with 50 Ozmun family members in 1995 held at the “Old Ozmun Hereford farm” (her father’s original homestead in Kinistino).

The family wishes to thank the amazing staff of Mont St. Joseph Home who cared for her for over 8 years and made her passing as comfortable and dignified as possible.

Funeral Service will be held at Mont St. Joseph Home, 777 – 28th Street East, Prince Albert, SK on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Family Interment in the Kinistino Cemetery to follow. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and would be greatly appreciated by the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
