Lloyd Joseph Ring passed away peacefully on November 23, 2017 at his home at Chez Nous after a short illness. Lloyd is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Gwen, now residing at Pioneer Lodge. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Dolly Ring, his brother Cecil and sister-in-law Audrey, sister Bernice and brother-in-law Raymond Koehler, sisters and brothers-in-law Doris and Steve Corby, Elsie Nisbet, Eileen and Doug Greig, Fred Gattinger, and Doug Mead. He is survived by his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Irene Gattinger, Esther Mead, and Muriel and Dennis Anderson, as well as extended family of many nieces and nephews and their children. Lloyd will be especially missed by his nieces Hilda (John Brown, Lethbridge) and Laurienne Ring (Dale Clark, Saskatoon) who cared for Lloyd in the last years preceding his death. Lloyd was born in Moose Jaw on April 28, 1928 and lived there all his life. Lloyd was a competitive bowler, something he and Gwen enjoyed together for many years. After his retirement from Gulf Oil, Lloyd covered countless kilometers of South Hill and Wakamow Valley walking with his dog. He and Gwen enjoyed camping, visiting friends and family across North America. Lloyd's faith was a constant for him and he spent many hours in support of St. Michael's and St. Barnabas parishes. A Funeral Service for Lloyd will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. W, Moose Jaw, SK, with Father Glenn Galenkamp officiating. An interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. If friends desire, donations can be made in remembrance of Lloyd to the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, 55 Diefenbaker Dr., Moose Jaw, SK, S6J 1M5, or St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 474 Hochelaga St. W, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 2G9.
