George F. Carter, 75 years of age, of Fort Lawrence, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Born in Sackville, NB, he was a son of the late Walter & Dorothy (Fillmore) Carter.
George worked hard as a truck driver for over 50 years and a life time farmer. He thrived on driving a truck ever since he was a young boy, being known as a skillful truck driver. He had a great sense of humor, wit and loved to tell stories. He could make most anyone laugh. George always had a smile on his face. He took great pride in the type of cattle he raised with his favorite breed being the Hereford. George enjoyed spending time in the woods; It was a vision to see his skillful attributes in handling a team of horses with a sled load of logs. George was known as a very hard worker and the community in which he loved could set their clocks by his punctual daily departures with the dump truck.
