Pat passed away peacefully at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, Truro. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the Palliative Care and Team for their kindness and compassion during Pat’s time in their care. The family would also like to thank the many staff and friends at Pat’s Parkland home for their support, love and friendship during her battle with cancer.
Pat was preceded by her husband William “Bill” Chisholm. Pat will be greatly missed by her daughter Elizabeth (Rick), Bill (Pat), John (Sherry) and Don (Ronna) and 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Pat had a storied career as an ER nurse and her servant heart showed warmth and compassion to many a patient within her care. Pat had a natural gift for striking up conversations with new people and forming deep connects with those that she met throughout her life. She also loved various forms of needlework and stitched her way through life, always making gifts for her children, grandchildren and friends. Pat will be missed by many far and wide in which she has touched along her life's journey.
Pat had a great love for nature and because of that passion for natural beauty she carried with her fond memories of her time living on Vancouver Island, BC with her husband Bill before his passing and moving to Truro to be closer to loved ones.
A Celebration of Life and Visitation will be held from 1 - 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13th in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Interment will be at a later date.
