New Glasgow - With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Christopher Robert Wallace Herman on December 30, 2017.
Born in Lunenburg, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Knock) Herman.
Chris was retired from RBC Dominion Securities.  He was a member of the Gyro Club, Euclid Lodge No. 92 and the Philae Temple Shriners. He was a very kind man. He enjoyed spending time with family, having coffee with 'the boys', and going on drives.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (MacKay), sons: Greg (Angela); Gordon; granddaughter, Anastazija Musa, Calgary; brother-in-law, Elmer (Sharon) MacKay, and family.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Christina.
There will be no visitation by request. A private family service will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd, at the R.H. Porter Funeral Home.  Burial to follow at the Lorne Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1003 Decarie Boulevard, Montreal, QC, H4A OA9 or a charity of choice. Albion Masonic Lodge will meet at the funeral home at 6:30 pm Tuesday, to conduct their service. Condolences may be sent by visiting: www.rhporter.ca
