It is with great sadness that the families of John (Johnny) Charles Butt announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Sunday, January 7th, 2018, at the age of 87 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Greta nee Major, his son; Barry (Madonna), his grandson; Troy, his sisters; Lida (Reg) Pretty, and Enid Pittman. Johnny was predeceased by his parents; John Charles Sr. and Matilda nee Wight, his step-parents; Edgar and Amelia Laing, his brother; Stanley (Rellie), his sister; Nina (John) Grant, and his brother-in-law; Freeman Pittman, also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends at the Wesley United Church, in Rocky Hr., NL, on Monday, January 8th, 2018, from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating, with the interment to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery in Rocky Hr, NL.
