GABRIEL, Daniel Leroy, 61, Halifax, son of Anne and Gervase Gabriel, died suddenly and peacefully from a pulmonary embolus. Dan grew up in Clementsvale. He was a compassionate and loving person. He worked for the Dept. of Lands and Forests and in construction. He was a talented carpenter and assisted in building many fine homes in Halifax. He loved being at the cabin on the lake, spending time in nature, fishing and hiking. He liked barbecuing, reading and watching western movies. He was very proud of and devoted to his daughters, Kaily White (Mike) and Genna Gabriel and grandson Shea, Halifax. Also survived by his companion Faye; sisters, Deborah Tamlyn (Doug) and Daphne (Mark Marshall) of Halifax; nieces and nephews and ex wife Barb (mother of his girls). He will be forever loved and missed by family and friends. A graveside and memorial service will be held in Clementsport at a later date.
