It is with sad and heavy hearts we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Rose Halliwell at the CBRH on Sunday, January 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in North Sydney on October 22, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Eileen (Barry) Sheffield.
Rose is survived by her sister, Ann Reashore, Alder Point; many nieces and nephews; and four special family members, J.T., Morgan, Mya and Ava. She also had a great neighbor and friend, Vernon and the ladies at the Martha Hollett Library; Rose thought the world of them.
Rose enjoyed her daily walks with her trusted companion, Candy, by her side. She would stop and talk to everyone she met. She was an avid reader and loved her scratch tickets. Her greatest moment was when she won $2500.
At Rose’s request her remains were donated to Dalhousie’s School of Medicine for teaching and research. Also, at her request a donation will be made to the SPCA in her memory.
A family committal service will be held at a later date.
