Patricia Ruth Holden Williamson born June 21, 1936 daughter of Frederick & Bertha Roberts Holden died January 7, 2018 at the age of 81. Patricia grew up on 43 Mullock Street St. Johns, Newfoundland and was educated at Presentation Convent and School St. Johns. She was employed at St. Johns General for 6 years and at that time met and married US Naval Lieutenant Malcolm E Williamson October 27, 1961. Patricia finally became a US citizen 1963 moving to Concord, Massachusetts. Patricia worked at various jobs supporting Malcolm to become an Osteopathic Doctor of Endocrinology and Nuclear Medicine 1972-2003. However, her most important job was being a loving and faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by son Stewart - Chiropractor, wife Melissa, and granddaughter Nora: son Malcolm - Neuroradiologist, wife Ericka, grandchildren Jeremy and Reina; and daughter Anne – Teacher and Department Chair for Social Studies, granddaughters Brooke and Cameron. During her life she enjoyed such activities as all the fine arts including being a season Detroit Symphony Orchestra ticket holder, beach, dancing, reading, talk radio, travel, skiing, ice skating, and fashion including hats. She was well known on Grosse Ile as being the “hat lady”. Patricia was diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis at age of 40 however because of her strong will and strong Christian faith she lived a much longer life to enrich all that were around her and to celebrate 56 years of marriage.
Memorial services will be held at St James Episcopal Church Grosse Ile Michigan Sunday June 24, 2018 at 1pm with a reception at Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club immediately following.
