The death occurred peacefully at Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, P.E.I. on Friday, January 12th, 2018 of Mary Claire (nee Richard) Gaudet of Clinton and formerly of Summerside, aged 102 years. Claire was born in Mont -Carmel, P.E.I. to the late Philibert and Sophie (nee Arsenault) Richard. Beloved wife of the late Harold Gaudet. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Claire was predeceased by her brothers and sister John, Emile, Tony, Ernie and Alvina Perry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, January 15th, then to St. Paul’s Church Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Claire’s memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
