Rita McIsaac-MacDonald age 87, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow formerly of Simpson Road, Pictou passed away on January 12, 2018 in the Manor.
Born in Reserve Mines, NS, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Patrick and Julia (LeBlanc) McIsaac.
Rita resided in Toronto and Boston before moving back to Pictou in 2002. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow.
She is survived by a daughter Carolyn (Mel) MacConnell, New Glasgow; grandchildren Shelley Sutherland (Gord Vail), Halifax; Robyn (Jeff) Burrows, New Glasgow; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Theresa “Terry” McIsaac, New Glasgow; Patricia “Patsy” MacKinnon, Arnprior, ON; Mary MacPherson, New Glasgow; William McIsaac, Lindsay, ON.
She was predeceased by her husband Carl A. MacDonald, son Ronald Wayne, brothers Gerald, Neil, Lloyd, Rod, sister Kay and a brother and sister in infancy.
There will be no visitation by request. Private family burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
