With broken hearts, we regret to announce the sudden passing of Bernard “Bernie” McInytre on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born July 9, 1971, in Glace Bay, he was the son of Miriam McIntyre, Glace Bay.
Bernie worked as a laborer in the construction industry and always enjoyed working on vehicles. He was a strong family man. His wife, children and two grandsons were the loves of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Jill (Mader); daughters, Morgan (Robert) Erickson, Glace Bay and Madilyn, at home; son, Mitchell, Edmonton; grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob; brother, Barry, Glace Bay; brother-in-law, Brad (Selena), Edmonton.
Bernie was predeceased by his son, Matthew and his parents-in-law, Kenny and Janice Mader.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6-7 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 7 p.m., with Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
