Bud Payne, age 82, son of the late Bill and Marjorie Payne, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Bud had many passions in life and his family was his greatest source of joy and he adored his girls. Bud worked as a baker for 47 years and after his retirement spent his time fishing, gardening and just puttering around the yard with his little dog Sammie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Annie (Parsons); daughter, Janice, Glace Bay, and grandchildren, Jennifer (Stephen), Halifax, Emily, Glace Bay and Ashley, Glace Bay. He is also survived by his sisters, Betty (Lloyd) Carabin, Glace Bay and Jean (Harley) Peverill, Glace Bay, and brothers, Gerry (Pat) Kentville and Terry (Blanche) Glace Bay.
Besides his parents, Bud was predeceased by an infant brother, Lorne.
To honour Bud’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will follow at a later date.
