The death occurred at his late residence in Mount Mellick January 31, 2018 of Gordon Wilfred Downe aged 80 yrs. Beloved husband of Eva nee Horton. Dear father of Darlene (Peter) Burke, Margie (Alan) Phelan and Judy Downe (Jarrett Carmichael). Grandfather of Dalbert Livingston, Nikia Paul and Daralyn Downe Bernard. Great grandfather of Ty, Jayden, wade and Adalyn. Predeceased by his parents Babe and Margaret Downe and Ilett and Emma Richards and sister Joan Saulnier. Survived by In-laws John (Diane) Horton, Debbie (Neil)Harpham and Matilda (James) Carver (deceased) and special cousin Fred Richards. Transferred from the Jenkins funeral home, Millview to the Hillsboro funeral home, Stratford for visitation Saturday 4-6 p.m. only. No funeral service by personal request. A private family burial will take place at the Birch Hill Church of Scotland at a later date. Family flowers only.
