It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Gwendolyn Gladys Hoskins, age 77, from Britannia, at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on January 31, 2018. Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Fannie Steele (Northern Bay) and brothers, Bill, Roy (Betty), Warren and Harold. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her husband, Bill, children, Janice (Rudy), David (Judy), Kenneth (Susan) and Paul (Julie); grandchildren, Brad, Ashley (Johnny), Stephanie (Mike), Travis (Christine), Kayla (Scott), Brandon (Kayla), Cody, Gregory and Caitlyn; great grandchildren, Koby, Lucas, Logan and Allie; brother, Ern; sisters-in-law, Chloe and Violet as well as many other extended family and friends. Rested at Vardy’s funeral Home, Hickman’s Harbour, Funeral service, officiated by Rev. Donna Hann, took place from the United Church, Britannia on Saturday, February 3, 2018 with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Britannia. Donations in her memory may be made to your choice of the Britannia United Church Cemetery Fund or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
