Joseph William Wall
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph William Wall, Sydney, N.S. at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of Albert "Pat" Wall and the late Geraldine "Gerry" (Burt) Wall.
Joe is survived by his son, Scott Wall (Ryan Ervanowitz); his father, Albert (Pat) Wall and step-mother, Joan; brothers, Larry (Valerie) Wall, Roddy (Marilyn) Wall, Jim Wall (Bev); sisters, Betty MacIsaac (Vic), Patricia (Glenn) Fewer, Stella Goode (Shawn), Mary (John) McDade; brother-in-law, Ron (Willie) Ryder; stepbrothers, Shawn (Trish) Young, Paul (Coleen) Young and Faron Young.
"Uncle Joe" will be especially missed by many special nieces and nephews.
Joe was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine; brother, John Robert; sister, Sharon in infancy and brother-in-law, Sander.
Joe lived over 35 years in Whitehorse, Yukon and was employed by the Yukon Government. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his buddies, Roch Fraser and Mark & Nita Daniels.
After retirement, he returned to Cape Breton and rekindled many friendships. He was a member of the Ashby Legion Branch 138 where he enjoyed playing darts and spending time with friends.
Cremation has taken place and as per Joe's wishes a "Celebration of Life" in his honor will be held at the Ashby Legion Branch 138 on Friday, February 9th between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
