Hattie Cecilia (Phair) Armstrong

Date de décès : 8 février 2018

ARMSTRONG, Hattie Cecilia (Phair) – June 5, 1929 – February 8, 2018. What do you say about an extraordinary woman, but that there is a void that will never be filled by her absence, and that she was loved beyond words. It is with unimaginable sorrow that we announce the passing of our Mother. Hattie Armstrong left this world on her terms - peacefully and with the dignity she lived her life with, on Thursday, February 8, 2018, surrounded by the love of the five daughters that she lived for: Wendy Eadie (Brian); Gail; Janice; Nancy; and Peggy Johnson (Todd). Their beloved “Grammy Bear”, will be missed by seven amazing grandchildren: Ryan St. John; Brooke (Michael Geisel); Sara (Trevor Kingsbury); Lana (Sean MacAneney); Erica (Lucas Michielsen); Garrett & Mitchel Johnson, and eight awesome great-grandchildren. We will never be able to express our gratitude to the staff at the Glen Stor Dun Lodge, who loved and cared for Mom in her “home” these last 5 ½ years. You brought immeasurable joy to her life, you treated her with the respect a true lady deserves, and loved her like family. Make no mistake – she loved you back. Dr. Patel, how can we thank you? In Mom’s words: “I just love him. He is SO smart”. You always respected her wishes, and made her journey as pain-free and dignified as possible. “You were an angel in the shape of our Mom, When we were down you’d be there holding us up. Spread your wings as you go, and when God took you back He said, ‘Hallelujah, you’re Home’.” Spring committal will take place in St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault, Ontario. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall. Online messages of condolence may be made in the obituary section of: www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca
