Colleen Francis (Moore) Martell

It is with profound sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Colleen on February 11, 2018 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, she was the only daughter of the late Dan ‘DJ’ and Annie (Penny) Moore.
Colleen was an avid walker and enjoyed her many friends known as “The Girls & you know who you are”.
She is survived by daughters, Shelly (Art) Martell/Baker and Darlene (Phillip) Bonaparte; grandsons, Lenny and Phillip Jr. Bonaparte; brother, Greg (Mary) Moore; numerous nieces and nephews locally as well as across Canada and the US, and cousins, Betty Noftall, Veronica O’Neil and Bernadette Maddigan, all of Newfoundland.
Colleen was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; brother, Fred ‘Collie’ (Irene) Moore. Dan ‘Pat’ (Marg) Moore.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. The family will receive friends Thursday at 12 with a memorial service to follow at 1, both in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home with Fr. Dennis Lamey officiating. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
