The death occurred peacefully at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS. on Friday, February 16th, 2018 of Thane Major Milligan, aged 77 years. Born in Northam, P.E.I., Thane lived in Summerside at the time of his death. Predeceased by his parents Bowman and Olive (nee Grigg) Milligan, brothers John, Clare and Dewar Milligan, sisters Marion Gamble, Edith Rafferty, Robina Johnson, Marjorie MacDougall, Myrtle (Frank) MacKinnon, Barb Noye, Dorothy Currie and special friend Doreen Wood. Thane is remembered by children Albert (Brenda), Helen (Mike) Kelly, Rick (Lynn), Greg (Rachel), Harold (Isabel), 11 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He is also fondly remembered by his brother Chester, sister Bonnie Vezina of Ontario and special friend Cheryl Arsenault. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, February 22nd, where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in Bideford United Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Thane’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
